Teoxane’s Redensity One treatment is a novel injectable skin booster that can provide deep hydration and nourishment to the skin and be used in targeted areas around the mouth or eyes.
It contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring molecule in our skin, that has an amazing ability to hold onto water. Once injected it will help to hydrate and plump the skin and give you a wonderful glow!
The addition of 8 amino acids (glycine, lysine, threonine, proline, isoleucine, leucine, valine, arginine), 3 antioxidants (glutathione, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, alpha-lipoic acid), 2 minerals (zinc, copper), vitamin B6 helps to redensify the upper layers of the skin and reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles.
The treatment involves tiny injections across the area to be treated, with one of the smallest needles. The product itself has an anaesthetic in, so once injected it starts to numb the skin from within. It is usually a very well-tolerated procedure; however, we can always discuss other methods of pain relief if this concerns you.
After the treatment, you will have small bumps on the skin which will fade over the next 12-24 hours. You do not need to massage the bumps away, as the product is designed to naturally spread out under the skin.
Best results are seen after three initial treatments, which are spaced three weeks apart.
After this, you can follow a maintenance protocol and return for one treatment every 4-6 months, or as required.

Minimal downtime

WHAT TO EXPECT
Before your treatment
After your medical consultation, we will discuss some pre-appointment advice that will help ensure the best possible results for your treatment.
We prefer that you can arrive at your appointment without make-up, as make-up left on the skin can pose an infection risk.
During your treatment
We begin by thoroughly cleansing your skin. We use the smallest needles available to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. For some treatment areas (around the eyes or lips), we advise using numbing cream, which will be applied 15-20 minutes before treatment.
Redensity One is injected superficially into the skin and can leave a series of very small bumps on the skin, which will settle within a few hours. We then cleanse the skin again and apply some soothing and moisturising aftercare balm.
After your treatment
Here is some simple aftercare advice to help minimise adverse effects and maximise your outcome:
- Avoid heavy, sweaty exercise, hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms for 24 hours after treatment. This will help reduce the risk of swelling and bruising.
- Keep the treated area clean to help reduce the risk of infection.
- The time to optimum results varies from person to person, but some people mention they see improvements in their skin within a few days. Some, it can take a few weeks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Am I suitable for Redensity One?
Redensity One is a fantastic treatment to target troublesome areas such as lines around the mouth or around the eyes. It offers hydration which plumps the skin, followed by increased collagen building in those areas, helping improve the visibility of the lines and wrinkles over time.
This treatment works very well around the mouth in combination with another of Teoxane’s fillers to lift and support the lines.
We usually offer this treatment first to ensure the skin quality has improved, and many people find that they do not need additional treatment after they have completed the course of Redensity One.
As with any injectable treatment, if any of the following apply to you, you may not be suitable for this treatment:
- Pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive
- Bleeding disorder
- Immunosuppressed
- Suffering from active infection on the skin or systemically
- Allergy to products of a similar nature
Will the treatment hurt?
Generally speaking, this procedure is very well tolerated. The needle used is very small, and only small amounts of product are injected at a time. Most people describe it as a ‘pin prick’ or similar to having acupuncture.
When treating certain areas, such as around the eyes or lip lines, we recommend topical numbing cream to make the procedure more comfortable.
If your treatment involves more than one syringe, you may opt for topical anaesthesia, as the treatment involves multiple injections.
If you are very concerned about pain, then anaesthetic options can be discussed at your consultation.
How long does Redensity One last?
The product will usually last around 4-6 months after the initial course of three treatments. After that most people choose to return for a single top-up treatment.
What ingredients are in Redensity One?
Redensity One is comprised of hyaluronic acid, to hold water in the skin and improve deep hydration.
Does Redensity One do the same as anti-wrinkle treatment?
Anti-wrinkle injections target the muscle underneath the skin, which causes the skin to crease when it moves. By reducing the activity of the muscle, we reduce skin creasing and the visibility of lines and wrinkles.
Redensity One targets the skin by improving its quality and robustness. Such that when it is moved by the muscles underneath, it can withstand the creasing, and again the lines are less visible.
Both treatments work well in combination as well.
Redensity One may also be an option if you want to avoid anti-wrinkle injections, or you are not suitable for them.
This will all be discussed at your consultation.
Does it have any long term side effects?
There is no evidence that these treatments cause any long-term effects.
With any injectable treatment, there are risks such as bleeding, bruising, swelling, tenderness or infection, but we take steps to reduce this risk for you and provide you with information after the treatment so you can help reduce these risks as well.
Redensity One is comprised of hyaluronic acid, so it can be dissolved with Hyalsae should it become a problem. However, this is vanishingly rare.
Which areas can you treat?
Redensity One can be used over the whole face, neck and decolletage. However, we generally used this product to target treated certain areas, such as lip lines or fine lines around the eyes.
It is a great skin quality improver and works well with other filler treatments, such as tear trough filler or soft filler to the lip lines.
We generally advise that you start with the Redensity One treatment and then see how you feel, as many people then decide they don’t need additional filler treatment!
